Golden Eaglets Earn 8-0 Win In Latest Friendly, Coach Manu Garba To Consider Players Back Home
The Golden Eaglets demolished Amu FC Nasarawa 8-0 in their latest friendly match at the Moshood Abiola Stadium practice pitch as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup.

Twenty-one Golden Eaglets players are presently in Turkey competing at the UEFA ASSIST Invitational Tournament and the rest of the players named to the 50-man provisional roster stayed back in Abuja to continue training.

Mustapha Abiodun, Sopuru Egesionu and Friday Etim bagged a brace each while Ochuko Papa and Timilehin Lawrence also got on the scoresheet.

Coach Manu Garba has assured the players in Abuja that they stand a good chance of making the 21-man roster for the World Cup in Brazil despite their omission from the traveling party to Turkey.

''Don't forget that we have other players back home who are good enough to make the team so it depends on individual performances here (in Turkey) that will guarantee who and who are going to play in the World Cup in Brazil,'' Garba said.

''On a final note we intend to give everybody a chance here so that by the time we are drawing the final list to Brazil we might have analyzed the level of each individual player to give them a fair chance since the bulk of the team here qualified the team to Brazil.''
