The Agony of Becoming a Biafra

Americans proudly say they are Americans; the same applies to people of  every other nations across the globe. But when an Igbo calls himself a Nigerian, he is pushed to die. It was for this reason that the Nigerian presidency and minister of  information clearly stated that no Nigerian was killed in the South African xenophobic attack on the Igbo. Were the people billed Fulani,  South Africa would have apologized.

Within Nigeria also, Fulani are not hurt when they say they are AREWA. But, should anyone say he is a Biafran, he will rotten in jail. When mercy could not save the situation, then the fellow is shot at sight. Life invariably becomes the price for stating one's identity.

Weeks ago, two people were discussing their beautiful views about the nation, Bisfra, when created; little did they knew that they have bought their Death tickets by mentioning Biafra while on the bus. From Port Harcourt, they were heading East. As the bus got to a checking point, a fellow passenger excused himself the reported to the soldiers that these people were Biafrans. The bus was yet to leave when the soldier shot the two persons dead.

Nigerian army have killed seven and paraded others in Port Harcourt just because items associated with BIAFRA!

                  INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included.
