Jos Crisis: plans attacks by terrorists in both his Council

The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon. Ubandoma Laven, has raised the alarm over planned attacks by terrorists in both his Council and Langtang South LGA of the State.

He also said most security chiefs in the State have confirmed that they have intelligence about the planned attack in the aforementioned LGAs.

Laven disclosed while addressing journalists in Jos, the State Capital, calling on the Federal Government and security operatives to “take note and act accordingly.”

He said, “We have received intelligence reports that terrorists are planning to attack our people in Langtang North and Langtang South LGAs. We are calling on security operatives to come and collaborate with the people and stem the tide.

“We have been on our toes since we received this intelligence report. For days, our people have not been sleeping. They have been keeping virgil; we appeal to government to act now.

“We are calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to act swiftly, and ensure that our people are protected as every life matters.

“Just as he acted during the attack on commuters in Jos recently, where helicopters were flying within the metropolis, there was a rapid response; a similar action should be taken to avert any unfortunate incident.

“We also want to appeal to
to security agencies not to be biased while discharging their constitutional duty. They should understand that their responsibility is to secure every citizen of this country, so we are urging them to be professional in doing their job,” he stressed.
