The Federal Government has said that men of the police force are now afraid to wear their uniforms due to the unfortunate events that led to the death of some police officers during the End SARS protest. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who made this known during an interview with newsmen in Lagos on Friday, called on Nigerians to empathize with and appreciate personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies instead of victimizing them. The minister recalled that six soldiers and 37 policemen were killed across the country during the crisis. Passengers to pay between N3,000 to N6,000 for Lagos-Ibadan train ticket – FG

The Nigerian Government on Friday unveiled the price range for travellers on the Lagos-Ibadan rail line route. Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed that rail passengers are to pay N3, 000 per economy seat, N5, 000 for business class and N6, 000 for first class seats. Amaechi, who disclosed this at the inauguration of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria, CIOTA, in Abuja, said the rates are for Ibadan to Lagos. He stated that the railway line will commence operation before the end of the year while its commissioning will be in January 2021. According to him, the protests, though hijacked by hoodlums, awakened the nation from its lethargy and consciousness to what was bedeviling the nation.
