Dershowitz: SCOTUS Told Trump, Don't Count On Courts In Elex Fight

President Donald Trump should realize he “can’t count on the judiciary” in his quest to overturn the election, according to constitutional legal expert Alan Dershowitz.

In an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 aired Sunday, and posted by The Hill, the Supreme Court’s rejection of a Texas lawsuit taking issue with the count sent a message to Trump’s legal team and loyalists.

“The three justices that President Trump appointed, his three justices, voted not to hear the case,” Dershowitz said, The Hill reported. “I think it’s a message to him and his team that you can’t count on the judiciary, you can’t count on the courts,” he said.

Dershowitz said Trump needs a “perfect storm” to overturn the election results — including the help of courts, governors and state legislatures  — and turning to state legislatures is “very, very unlikely.”

“So I suspect on Monday we will see the electors…elect Joe Biden,” Dershowitz said. “Whether you like that or you don’t like it, that’s the reality that the Trump team has to face.”

Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani however, has said the fight will go on, and that the campaign would present the case in district court.

“We’re not finished,” Giuliani said. “Believe me.”
