Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich warned U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland not to meddle in the election audit in his state.

In a letter to Garland on Monday, Brnovich said Joe Biden’s attorney general has made “troubling comments” about the ongoing audit of 2020 elections in Arizona. Brnovich asserted Garland’s remarks may violate the 10th Amendment of the Constitution and other applicable laws on states’ rights.

The Arizona attorney general stressed that Garland appears to support “hysterical outcries of leftist pundits” instead of the integrity of U.S. elections. Brnovich concluded by noting the state of Arizona will not allow the Biden administration to abuse its powers and the election audit will continue.

Meanwhile, Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers (R) said the Department of Justice will legally be dealt with if they intrude in the election audit in her state. In an interview Monday, she made it clear she does not appreciate the Biden administration “getting into our mess kit” and trying to seize their right as state legislature.

Her remarks came after Garland announced the DOJ will scrutinize any election audits moving forward. She went on to say Arizonans are a tough breed and will continue to get to the bottom of the truth of the 2020 election.
