FED-UP NIGERIAN ADAMAWA HUNTERS TAKE ON BOKO HARAM

Image
As a child, Aisha Bakari Gombi used to hunt with her father searching for big game in forests in the northeast of Nigeria. Now animals no longer roam there, and Aisha chases a different prey – Islamist insurgents from Boko Haram, one of the world’s deadliest armed groups that has ravaged her country for nearly a decade.  Aisha leads a vigilante group that helps government forces fight Boko Haram militants in the Adamawa state. Hunters say they can't stand aside while mass kidnappings, rapes, and killings still happen, despite Boko Haram being contained in a few pockets in the countryside. The Adamawa hunters use homemade weapons, secret potions believed to protect them from bullets, and their knowledge of the mountains and forests help track down the terrorists.  The Adamawa hunters formed citizen militia-style squads to help the army combat the terrorists.+ An RTD crew met the Boko Haram hunters to learn more about their counterinsurgency and the female leader, whose

THE REASON WHY AMERICA IS SO GREAT

Image
The term paper which a postgraduate of student civic engineering (UNIUYO) gave me to assist him on brought me to this costly object and symbol of what The United States of America stands for. A pyramid, eagle, Latin phrases, etc. has been reproduced on the reverse side of every American dollar bill, but few in America know what these symbols mean. The key to understanding the meaning behind all of these symbols is found in the translation of the Latin phrase "NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM," ("The New World Order") found underneath the pyramid on what is known as the Reverse Side of the Great Seal. Ralph Epperson has spent 27 years in researching the history of the two sides of the Great Seal, and has discovered that those who designed them committed America to what has been called "A Secret Destiny." This future "destiny," called The New World Order, is so unpleasant that those who wanted the changes it entails had to conceal that trut

ISRAEL PRAISES TRUMP ON ENDING IRAN OIL SANCTION WAIVERS

Image
Israel on Monday praised President Trump  for not renewing waivers that allowed several foreign countries to buy oil from Iran without getting sanctioned. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that the decision "is of great importance for increasing pressure on the Iranian terrorist regime," according to The Associated Press. “We stand with the United States’ determination against Iranian aggression and this is the right way to stop it,” he added. The White House announced Trump's decision earlier Monday. “President Donald J. Trump has decided not to reissue Significant Reduction Exceptions (SREs) when they expire in early May. This decision is intended to bring Iran’s oil exports to zero, denying the regime its principal source of revenue," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. The waivers were scheduled for renewal on May 2. Secretary of State  Mike Pompeo  is also expected to announce the move during

WHAT DEATH COULDN”T ALLOW PRINCE TO COMPLETE

Mark your calendar: A Prince partial autobiography is coming out this fall. Just weeks before he died in 2016, Prince struck a deal to write a book about his life. He never got to finish what he started -- but a version of it is coming out this fall. The memoir, titled "The Beautiful Ones," will be released on October 29. The announcement comes just after the third anniversary  of the pop star's death. The 288-page project will combine the pop star's unfinished manuscript with never-before-seen photos, original scrapbooks and lyric sheets, according to the description from Penguin Random House. "'The Beautiful Ones' is the story of how Prince became Prince -- a first-person account of a kid absorbing the world around him and then creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life, before the hits and fame that would come to define him," the description reads. Publishing agent Esther Newberg told Vanity Fair   in 2018 that Prince de

I AM A NIGERIAN, ATIKU REPLIES APC

Image
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has rebuked the All Progressives Congress, APC, describing the allegation that he is a Cameroonian as puerile, face saving, vexatious, absolutely and completely unfounded. Atiku, in his response to preliminary objection the APC filed to challenge his petition against the declaration of President President Muhammadu Buhari as winner of the February 23 presidential election, maintained that he is a full blooded Nigerian. He urged the Presidential election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja to ignore what he termed as “extraneous facts, contradictory, diversionary, evasive, speculative and vague assertions”, by both the APC and President Buhari. Atiku told the tribunal that contrary to APC’s allegation that he is an alien, he said he is a Nigerian by birth and a Fulani by tribe. He told the tribunal that he has been a Nigerian politician for about 30 years, adding that in 1992, he contested in th
