 Total Chaos in Senate as Abaribe Storms Chamber with Biafran Flag — Vows “No Plenary Until Nnamdi Kanu Is Freed!” Release Him or Watch This Country Burn Politically!’” Tension gripped the National Assembly today as Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe stormed into the Senate chamber waving a giant Biafran flag, demanding the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The usually calm lawmaker erupted in fury, shouting: “Enough is enough! My brother is sick, yet you keep him in detention while Bko Hram members walk free! Nothing will move in this Senate until Nnamdi Kanu is released to me!” The entire plenary was thrown into chaos. Some lawmakers stood in shock; others tried to calm him down, but Abaribe refused to yield. Security officials attempted to escort him out, but he stood firm, pounding the Senate table and declaring that no national business would proceed until justice is done.

Sowore and Others Bailed with N500,000 for Protesting

Magistrate’s Court in the Kuje area of Abuja on Friday granted bail to former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, and Aloy Ejimakor, a member of the legal team which represented the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu. The court also granted bail to Kanu’s brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, and 10 others. They were granted bail for ₦500,000 each, with two sureties in like sum. All 13 defendants were charged with inciting public disturbance and breach of peace in connection with the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest held on Monday, October 20, in Abuja. While Ejimakor, Emmanuel and the other 10 defendants were arrested during the protest and later remanded at the Kuje Correctional facility, Sowore was taken into custody on October 23 at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja after attending Kanu’s terrorism trial to show solidarity.
