What Man Utd target Paulo Dybala has demanded in wages ahead of Romelu Lukaku swap deal

Lukaku is keen on a switch to Juventus and, with both players valued at £75m, a swap deal could be concluded swiftly ahead of next Thursday’s transfer deadline. The only stumbling block that could halt a deal now it seems is from Dybala himself. Not only is he having to weigh up the wages on offer in the deal, he needs to decide if theme will be a good one for his career. The 25-year-old endured his worst season at Juventus last time around under the then boss Massimiliano Allegri. Gunners expected to complete record €80m Pepe deal

Lille president Gerard Lopez expects Arsenal to complete the club-record €80m signing of winger Nicolas Pepe today. Ivory Coast International Pepe scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 last year and had been previously linked with the likes of Manchester United and Napoli. The 24-year-old, though, is now on the verge of completing a move to the Emirates Stadium. Any deal is expected to include Arsenal paying in instalments, while the overall fee will eclipse Arsenal's previous record - €60m for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January 2018. Speaking to French media outlet RMC Sport on Wednesday, Lille president Lopez said: "He is the one who made the decision, I think it should be (confirmed) in the next 24 hours. "It is €80m fixed. If we pushed this deal out a little bit longer, we could have had five or six offers of the same nature. "In talking with Nicolas and his agents, the discussion centred on a few clubs so we preferred to focus on the projects that intereste

15 Migrants Die Of Hunger, Thirst In Stranded Boat — UN

Image
Thousands of migrants mostly from the Horn of Africa arrive there every year in the hopes of moving on to wealthy Gulf Arab states and escaping poverty and unemployment at home. About 15 Ethiopians died after the boat trying to smuggle them into Yemen broke down and left them stranded in the sea without food or water for a week, the U.N. migration agency said. Survivors said some died from hunger and thirst and others drowned themselves, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said. “A number reached Yemen but died before they could get medical help,’’ it added. Yemen is more than four years into a civil war that has killed tens of thousands of people and pushed the impoverished nation to the brink of famine. But thousands of migrants mostly from the Horn of Africa arrive there every year in the hopes of moving on to wealthy Gulf Arab states and escaping poverty and unemployment at home. “The migrants were travelling from Djibouti to Yemen when the smugglers’

Transfers Disappointment For Enyeama

Image
Vincent Enyeama’s long wait for club football will have to continue after Ligue 1 side Dijon decided not to offer him a deal despite undergoing trials with them. The former Super Eagles goalkeeper has been without a club since he was released by Lille last summer. He has not played competitive football for over two years and was reported to be having trials at Dijon with the hope of securing a deal. However, Les Rouges decided against offering the 36-year-old a deal, although Enyeama seems to take the decision in good faith, thanking the club for the opportunity. Despite the setback, the former Hapoel Tel Avi shot-stopper does not plan on retiring, saying he still hopes to find a new club soon.
