Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have qualified for the round of 16 in the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, following a 1-1 draw with Ukraine. With the result, Nigeria finished third in Group D with four points from three games. The Paul Aigbogun boys advanced to the round of 16 as one of the four best third-placed sides, or best losers as it is referred to in Nigerian parlance. In the other group match, USA defeated Qatar 1-0 and finished second in the group with six points, a point behind group leaders Ukraine. Earlier, Flying Eagles failed to build on their big win over Qatar as they were thrashed 2-0 by the USA in their second group game
