THE HISTORY OF UMUONOJA

Image
by  Onyeji Nnaji   A nybody who had taken a considerable distant trekking into the Nsukka UNN campus from the main gate would definitely have seen this image at the corner where art exhibition is dully displayed. And because this contemporary society could not decipher the pedagogical relevance of artistic works, it would be very difficult to understand the valorous value, beyond estimation, the contribution of the man whose image is imprinted on that solid ground. But for one who wants to understand this image, he may be required to move further into the ancient world of legends known as Ogurugu. At Ogurugu abides the foremost image from where that in UNN was copied. There the researcher will be told of the greatness of the legend Onoja Oboni. The image above portrays his legendary features as a conqueror. That was the father of the communities of people identically called Umuonoja. Onoja, often referred to as Onoja Oboni, was the son of Oboni Oni of the Ata Igala linag

THE TRUE HISTORY OF YORUBA - Onyeji Nnaji

In the consolidated publication, The Cultural Unity of Black Africa, edited by Diop Anta (an Egyptian), it is established that all the nations of antiquity among black that have the scarified bronze are termed aboriginal. But in hierarchical rating, the Nri is the oldest and proves the core of the African population. T he world was generally peaceful throughout the generations that experienced Eri as the theosophist of Eridu (The Lost City of the Sun). It was easy because the entire earth were absorbed into the one-government of that age because the population of human on earth were not scattered abroad as in the case today. The human population was concentrated in the east and nowhere else. This peace lasted for four thousand years before the departure of Eri.  The remnant of the Eridu kingdom did not see any problem until later, at the decay part of the civilization, for while Eri was alive the earth was witnessed no hunger. According to the Igbo Oral Tales, Eri and his wif

THE FOUNDATION OF THEOSOPHISM IN IGBO LAND - Onyeji Nnaji

Copied from the Book, Reminiscence, by Oyeji Nnaji “In a single day and night of misfortune, the Ireland of Atlantis disappeared into the Atlantic and was seen no more” (Plato 365 BC). Legends wrote about the lost city and the disappearance of the first ever civilization the world had before the flood. This civilization overtook the entire glob, and was the first in the human history. Sumerian tablets maintain that the civilization had its take off point at the city of Eridu. Invariably, the theosophical structure was headed and overseen by Eri and Idu the overhead figures whose names gave birth to the coinage that stood for the civilization; Eridu. The Theosophism comprised the following: (i) Eri (the theosophist).           (ii) Idu (the custodian of nature law: a god-man from Umudiala; the                          kingmakers). (iii) Dioka (a technocrat, artist, engraver and scribe from Awka). (iv) Eze-Adama (the figure that stood for the created man).

IGBO IS OLDER THAN YORUBA AND BENIN - Onyeji Nnaji

As was noted in the previous chapter, it is expedient that one tries to understand the information in the second chapter above. These will open doors towards understanding the multiple things are discussed in this chapter. Still at that, greater understanding of the proceedings of the various subheadings of this chapter is needed in order to have a ground understanding of the events that led to the destruction of the world of old and the need for the restructuring of the world in the later days of the Noah flood. If one does not have a better understanding of the government/civilization that existed in the pre deluge and the personalities involved in the engineering of this first ever civilization the world unanimously had before things went out of place, it would be completely impossible to understand issues connected to the emigration which when alternated returns the human population to just one body of two different sets of individuals that founded the world of today population.

FOUR GENERATIONS BEFORE THE CREATION OF ADAM

O ne bad effect of every religion to the adherents is this blatant rejection of any opinion/suggestion raised by another. Hardly is there a particular religion that assigns value to another, it does not matter how the latter may contain certain element of truth in them. That is why Karl Marx described religion as opium of the masses. Often times I have found it very impossible to convince people that the earth had lived for generations before the days of Adam and his subsidiary, Eve. Especially brethren from the Christian religious belief find it out rightly very difficult to accept any view related to this. At times I ask if Moses was in his historical account or that people chose to ignore certain aspects of the creation account. As Moses puts it to us in the Genesis, the earth existed alongside the heavens from the beginning of things (Genesis 1:1). By this time, there was no generation for everything that was created in the beginning lay without productivity. The word, generati

ADAM LIVED WITH THE IGBO FATHERS - Onyeji Nnaji

The Harmony of the First Father and the Sons of God There was a sense of harmony among the inhabitants of the earth those early days. Of course, many may think that these forbearance of the human population existed in parts. Yes, in a way, but not completely separate as hostile member of a community. Adam was however kept separate and secluded in the garden fashioned in the east. But when he fell he was sent out of the garden to live with other inhabitants, but with certain level of consciousness as a mortal being. With the birth of Cain humanity began to increase. Adam was one hundred and thirty years before the birth of Cain. Cain and Seth all got married and gave birth to children according to their kind, although Moses did not tell us anything about where they took their wives.  We cannot draw conclusion from a vacuum since no record had said anything regarding to where they took their wives. What was remarkable with the Nri creation story was that the inhabitants of the earth

WHO IS ADAM? WHO IS ADAMA? by Onyeji Nnaji

The Birth of the First Father With the presence of the fourth generation, the history of the world made a complete four generations. The birth of Adam led to another generation; of course a new generation of inhabitants on earth. With his birth the earth recorded its fifth generation of habitation. Humanity, flesh and blood (mortal persons) began with the creation of Adam. According to Moses, Adam was born to take charge of the creations on earth, Genesis 1:26. He was born to follow the ordinances and principles already set in their place by the  Assumed ancestors.  His predecessors were considered as his  assumed ancestors  because they existed before him. It is “assumed,” because he was not a direct descent of the four generation race. Adam was the product of the earth. Of course, the first fruit of God’s technical skill. He was the first existence with the full composition of earthly raw material. He was the first person to be reckoned with the term “man”.
