Once again the Federal Government of Nigeria plans another shoot-at-sight in the states in Biafra land. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu made this known to a handful population of elders in his residential home at Ibeku, Abia State. Recall that, earlier this year, we warned of a shoot-at-sight order in some selected states in Biafra land. This was not taken seriously until the untold massacre in Orlu took effect in the early morning of East Sunday. See the followings for details. *  HURIWA Affirmed that the Nigerian Army was Behind the killing of civilians in Orlu * Nigerian army burn 17 people alive at the Orlu pogrom *   Igbo genocide: Nigerian army killed 48 people in Orlu and over 30 people yet missing According to senator Orji Uzor Kalu, "The Federal Government is coming with airforce, landed soldiers and everything within her capacity to comb all the bushes in Igboland". Some of the states have already witnessed the defection of party heavyweights and their supporters to parties like Labour Party, LP, and

The affidavit by the FBI in support of obtaining a search warrant for former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is photographed Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the Justice Department to make public a redacted version of the affidavit it relied on when federal agents searched Trump’s estate to look for classified documents. (AP Photo/Jon Elswick) Lawmakers are outraged at the heavy redactions in the highly anticipated affidavit used to obtain a search warrant for the raid on Mar-a-Lago. 20 of the 38-pages that were released on Friday were either significantly or fully redacted. However, page-19 of the affidavit may point to the can of worms that the Department of Justice (DOJ) knows it opened by ransacking the 45th President’s Florida home earlier this month. Page 19 cited a Breitbart article from May 5, 2022. That article stated that former Trump administration official, Kash Patel, said the 15-boxes of documents had already been declassified

PENDULUM BY DELE MOMODU Fellow Nigerians, let me make a few clarifications before going into the nitty-gritty of this epistle. Today, I’m wearing two caps on this page. I’m a journalist as well as a politician. I have been both for decades, although I remain pre-eminently a journalist. Also, I have been a non-partisan politician for a long time until recently. Even then I have seen it fit to support candidates from the two mainstream political parties depending on the capacity and performance of the ruling government party.  Since this is my column, it is expected that it will reflect my personal opinion and not that of any other person.  This has always been the case although my opinion may sometimes be shaped by not only the voracious reading culture that I have made the mainstay of my career as a journalist but also the wide consultations and interactions that I continue to have both as a journalist and politician. And opinions can oftentimes be subjective, although I try to be as o
