Nigerian News Houses Spreading Lies against Pastor Adeboye

It has been verified that the ereport, which was published Monday, claiming that Adeboye made an assertion during the Church’s monthly Thanksgiving held Sunday, May 7 in support of Tinubu's enthronement as Nigerian president is false.

According to the report, Adeboye was represented by his Special Assistant, Pastor Dele Balogun.

CLAIM

“Thank God the President-elect has promised to fix Nigeria. If God helps him, Nigeria will prosper in his hands,” the report stated, quoting the clergyman.

VERIFICATION

TRIBUNE ONLINE findings revealed that there was indeed a Thanksgiving Service on the said date but the comment attributed to the RCCG GO is untrue, as there was nowhere in the service did Pastor Adeboye mention Tinubu or anything in connection with May 29 swearing-in ceremony as purportedly claimed in the viral report.
