Liz Peek: Trouble for Biden – from crime to border security, here's why White House has reasons to worry

Video Sen. Barrasso blasts Biden for reversing position on signing bipartisan infrastructure bill Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said Republicans he spoke with need more assurances from President Biden that there is no link between the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the broader Democratic spending package. The Biden White House is in shambles. Polling shows the president’s approval ratings falling as voters become more concerned about his weakest issues – crime and inflation. Meanwhile, President Biden’s strongest suit – his handling of  COVID-19  – is becoming less important, according to the YouGov/Yahoo poll. Trying to counter these trends and put some points on the board has not gone well for the  White House .   In recent days Biden has managed to affront both Republicans and Democrats by issuing a series of head-spinning reversals on the bipartisan  infrastructure  deal crafted by moderates of both parties. The president celebrated the $1.2 trillion agreement with a cheery Rose

Trump: Barr Is a 'Disappointment in Every Sense of the Word'

(Getty Images)     Former President Donald Trump is roasting his attorney general, Bill Barr, as "a disappointment in every sense of the word," after Barr dismissed Trump's repeated claims about the 2020 election as "bull****" in ABC News correspondent Jonathan Karl's upcoming book  "Betrayal."    "Instead of doing his job, he did the opposite and told people within the Justice Department not to investigate the election," Trump said in a statement issued late Sunday night, reports  The Hill. "Just like he did with the Mueller report and the cover up of Crooked Hillary and RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA, they don’t want to investigate the real facts. Bill Barr’s weakness helped facilitate the cover up of the Crime of the Century, the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election!" He also said that Barr, as a former attorney general who spent almost two years in office, "shouldn't be speaking about the president." Barr is quoted, in the

US military launches airstrikes against three facilities on Iraq-Syria border

. The U.S. military has conducted defensive precision airstrikes against three facilities near the Iraq-Syria border region Sunday evening.  According to  Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby , the facilities are used by several Iran-backed militia groups engaged in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks against U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq, including Kata'ib Hezbollah (KH) and Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS). "As demonstrated by this evening's strikes, President Biden has been clear that he will act to protect U.S. personnel. Given the ongoing series of attacks by Iran-backed groups targeting U.S. interests in Iraq, the President directed further military action to disrupt and deter such attacks," Kirby added. "The United States took necessary, appropriate, and deliberate action designed to limit the risk of escalation - but also to send a clear and unambiguous deterrent message." A U.S. defense official with knowledge of the strikes told Fox New

Dershowitz Strongly Criticizes NY Panel for Taking Giuliani's Law License

(Luiz Rampelotto/EuropaNewswire/picture-alliance/dpa/AP)     Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz says a New York court was wrong to suspend Rudy Giuliani’s law license.  “I taught legal ethics for 35 years at Harvard Law school… I’ve never seen a case where a lawyer was essentially disbarred… without a hearing," Dershowitz said Sunday during an appearance on “The Cats Roundtable." 'The most basic concept of due process is you don’t deprive somebody of their living, of their freedom, of their ability to work without a hearing. And the criteria under which they suspended his law license is so vague. It says in the course of representing a client, a lawyer shall not knowingly make a false statement of fact or law to a third person. In other words, if he goes on… TV… and he makes a statement which turns out to be false, and he had reason to believe it was false, he could be disbarred. Do you know how many lawyers we’d have left if we app

(Pete Marovich-Pool/Getty)     President Joe Biden's policies if implemented could derail the U.S.' strong economic recovery following the coronavirus pandemic, Trump administration economist Stephen Moore said on Sunday. Speaking on  “The Cats Roundtable” radio show on WABC 770AM hosted by John Catsimatidis, Moore said the nation is in danger of “increasing the national debt by about $22 trillion over the next decade,” if Biden passes his entire agenda. He also warned that “a great country does not borrow its way to prosperity.” Moore said such policies would be a great shame, because currently ”the United States is running way ahead of the rest of the world in terms of picking up and recovering from Covid,” stressing that is a positive story should lead to a very strong second half of the year economically. But he said that the Biden administration is “making all sorts of policy mistakes that are slowing down this recovery." He cited higher infl

(Nathan Howard/Getty Images) A rising number of police officers are reportedly retiring or quitting their jobs amid elevated anti-police sentiment across the nation. According to data by The New York Times published this month, police retirements rose by 45 percent while resignations increased 18 percent between April of 2020 and April 2021. The data was retrieved from almost 200 police departments and shows police officers quitting mainly in Democrat-controlled jurisdictions. This follows a year fraught with political violence and restrictions on the protections and budgets of police departments. “The tremendous amount of stress that has been placed on our entire organization, certainly the members of ROT, is the result of some really difficult times that they went through in over 150 nights of sustained civil unrest

Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is defending his recent dissent from the Democrat Party agenda, saying he has always favored more moderate policies. “I’ve not voted any differently than I voted for 10 years. I’ve always been very moderate, very centrist,” said Manchin. “I tell people, I’m fiscally responsible and socially compassionate. And I want to find that middle…and I think there’s always a middle to find.” On Sunday, Manchin said he’s recently been under attack by far-left Democrats for failing to support their $6 trillion spending wish list along with other radical policy proposals. The West Virginia senator said he believes the U.S. should be able to afford any of its spending plans prior to be putting in place, so that there is no additional debt accumulated. Manchin has continuingly said he will not support passing a $6 trill
