Newt Gingrich: McCarthy, Dems Could Join Forces For Speaker Seat

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi still has the power of her office but it is declining and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., "certainly wields an enormous amount of power," but House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy could join forces with moderate Democrats to take over the speaker's seat, former Speaker Newt Gingrich said Wednesday. 

"I think, depending on the result of these last few seats, that Republican leader McCarthy may actually have an ability to form an alliance with 10 or 12 Democrats who are in districts where they will get wiped out in 2022 unless they find some way to separate," said Gingrich on Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "If that happens, McCarthy actually will have more maneuvering ability on the floor than will Speaker Pelosi."

Gingrich also predicted that more "radical positions" will come forward with Joe Biden if his win for the White House is confirmed.

"History is very clear," said Gingrich. "If you are a moderate Democrat or even a fairly liberal Democrat, but in a potential swing district, you have to look at that history."

Then, he said, moderate Democrats will need to ask themselves if radical members of the Biden administration will join forces and lead to their party losing control of the House in 2022 and ending with McCarthy, R-Calif., progressing to the speaker's seat. 

There will also be challenges for the Biden administration when it "comes out of the basement" because of comments that are already coming out. 

"He has a lot of people hidden down there who are very radical and I think frankly they will cost him the two seats to Georgia," said Gingrich. "The radicalism is going to show up

Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included.
