Tennessee Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R) and Bill Hagerty (R) have criticized Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill and are blaming Democrats for the supply chain crisis.

“If they pass the Build Back Broke plan, as I call it, then inflation is going to go up even more,” said Blackburn.

On Friday, both Republicans emphasized how price of nearly everything is through the roof. They also noted the spending bill wouldn’t help resolve the current crisis.

Hagerty said the Biden administration’s policies contributed to inflation, adding how they incentivized unemployment resulting in labor shortages. He further criticized how Biden is responsible for increased gas prices.

“Think about what Biden did when he killed the Keystone XL pipeline, and he’s done everything to really wage war on the oil and gas industry and gas prices are through the roof,” said Hagerty. “Everything that we buy here in America is going to be transported. It has a massively inflationary impact and it’s hurting us all.”

Both senators confirmed they would not be supporting the trillion-dollar bill or any more spending measures by Democrats.

This comes as a growing number of Americans disapprove of the way Biden is handling key issues.

CNBC All-America Economic Surveyreleased on Friday, showed 48 percent of respondents disapproved of Biden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, while 46 percent approved. His economic approval sunk even further with 37 percent approving compared to 6 percent who disapprove.

The plummeting numbers suggest Biden’s vaccine mandates are unpopular among Americans. In addition, the ratings come as inflation surges to a record 39-year high amid the ongoing supply chain crisis.
