BANDITS THREATEN TO KILL 4,000 PEOPLE, RAZE DOWN COMMUNITIES IN ZAMFARA

A man, who spoke with Fulani accent, said they threatened to attack the three villages as reprisal. ndits who have been wreaking havoc in Zamfara State have threatened to burn down three more communities in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State, except the community disbands their vigilante groups. The bandits contacted a resident of Bakenawa community, whose identity is hidden for his safety, to deliver the threat on Monday. Bakenawa is a few kilometres away from Ruwan Bore, where the elder sister of Ade Marafa, the senator representing Zamfara Central, was killed on last week. According to the resident, when the bandits called him, he lied that he was not a resident of Bakenawa, but the bandits gave details of his family members to prove to him that they know him well. DIGNITARIES AT THE PORT HARCOURT PDP RALLY

Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has taken his campaign to Port Harcourt in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria. The venue of the rally, the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Igwuruta is filled with party supporters. Present at the rally is the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, Senator Ben Bruce and other chieftains of the PDP.

Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, Monday was booed and stoned at the party’s presidential campaign rally Ogun State. Oshiomhole was pelted with different objects by some of the people present at the rally when he mentioned the name of the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Dapo Abiodun while addressing the crowd. It took the intervention of the incumbent state governor Ibikunle Amosun to pacify the irate crowd.
