The Supreme Court of Nigeria has slated for HEARING all Appeals on Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's case before the Apex Court on Thursday, 5TH OCTOBER, 2023. Recall that on the 13th day of October 2022, the Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division, delivered a Landmark Judgment in an appeal filed by Prof Mike Ozekhome, SAN,CON, OFR, Ph.D, on behalf of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, challenging part of the Federal High Court ruling, which had retained 7 counts out of the original 15 counts against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, after striking out eight out of the 15 count charge. Former ABC News Reporter James Gordon Meek Sentenced To Six Years In Child Porn Case

(Photo via; MICHAEL LE BRECHT/ABC/GETTY IMAGES) Former  ABC News  reporter James Gordon Meek was sentenced to six years for involvement with child pornography.  Advertisement On Friday, Virginia Federal Judge Claude Hilton handed down the ruling, which was equivalent to one year more than the minimum term that the 54-year-old was seeking. The Virginia United States Attorney’s Office had reportedly requested that the judge rule a much larger penalty of about 12 and a half to 15 years in prison. However, Meek sought forgiveness as he stated that he accepted responsibility and he had never committed another crime before. In July, the former reporter pled guilty to transporting and possessing child sexual abuse materials. Prosecutors argued that Meek “clearly sought out individuals across the internet for the specific purpose of sharing (and expanding) his [Child Sexual Abuse Material] collection for his sexual gratification.” According to investigators, the 54-year-old had reportedly sent

U.S. Supreme Court To Hear Cases On Texas, Florida Social Media Laws

(Photo by Al Drago/Getty Images) The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) announced that it will hear two cases involving controversial content moderation judgments made by social media platforms in Texas and Florida. Advertisement On Friday, the Supreme Court declared that it would make free speech online an emphasis and decide whether laws passed in Texas and Florida can limit social media platforms from removing certain political posts or accounts. The laws ensure that social media companies will not be able to ban users based on their political views, even if the users violate platform policies. As a result, this will restrict companies from having the ability to enforce their rules. (AP Photo/John Locher) Las Vegas Police have arrested a suspect in the 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur, 27 years after the death of the famous rapper.  Advertisement Duane “Keffe D” Davis was arrested by Las Vegas authorities Friday morning and will face a litany of charges regarding conspiracy to commit murder, according to the  New York Post.   Davis has made comments in past interviews and in his 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” that he was in the Cadillac that pulled alongside Shakur’s car, claiming he rolled down the windows and shot his weapon, hitting the rapper four times.  In the memoir, Davis claimed that his nephew, Orlando Anderson, was the one responsible for fatally shooting Tupac.
