The United States issued additional sanctions on Friday targeting Hamas' financial network, including targeting a member of the Palestinian militant group's military wing, two France-based fundraisers and two entities, the Treasury Department said. "These designations expose a sophisticated, multi‑year financing architecture that moved more than $2 million to Hamas through deceptive charitable fronts and cryptocurrency channels, demonstrating the organization’s persistent ability to adapt its fundraising mechanisms to evade detection," Treasury said in a statement. The Hamas member, Saleem Abdallah Saleem al-Zaq, is a battalion deputy in the Hamas military wing based in Gaza, Treasury said. He oversees a financial network that has used various money services businesses and cryptocurrency wallets to transfer significant funds to the Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades, it added.

President Trump threatened Thursday that Iran will cease to exist if its leaders do not sign a peace deal with the U.S. “Now I have to make a decision. They’ll either sign a very fair deal, or they won’t exist any longer,” Trump told reporters on the South Lawn en route to Oklahoma. The president also told reporters that Iran could have been connected to a copilot’s alleged attempt to crash an Israel-bound airplane traveling from Dubai earlier this week. “I would say the answer based on what I’m hearing is yes, but we’re working on it right now,” the president said. Trump said Wednesday that he spoke “at length” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the incident. The president’s comments come after he told Time Magazine that he rejected Iran’s latest peace offer. “It’s just not good enough, nearly,” Trump told the publication, saying he rejected the proposal in part because it only opened “some aspects” of the Strait of Hor...

The theoretical model developed by a leading Chinese air force missile supplier says that under ideal conditions, the claimed range could have implications for the F-35’s ability to survive while facing China’s stealth fighters.
