Israel Election: Reports Reveal Missing Ballots in Today's Voting
Voters said that ballots for the Haredi Public Party had been removed from polling stations in Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit and Jerusalem, with the Civil Election Watch organization saying it had received 23 reports regarding ballots being removed in entire stacks or hidden beneath ballots of other parties, KAN News reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, voters could not find ballots for the party at their polling stations and had to request them from election officials. In Modi'in Illit, one voter said the party's ballots had been hidden beneath those of other parties.
"A stack of Haredi Public ballots disappeared instantly," election observers in Modi'in Illit said, according to KAN.
A Bnei Brak voter expressed concern that if voters are forced to request the correct ballots to be provided or found as his wife did, not every woman will do so.
"Not every woman will feel comfortable asking polling station officials, all of whom are Haredi, why ballots are missing."
