IDF kills Hamas Nukhba operative who helped plan deadly attack on Israeli tank, killing four
Hamas Nukhba terrorist Musa Abd Muhammad Hamouda was killed on Sunday in an IDF airstrike in Gaza City, the military announced on Wednesday.
Hamouda took part in planning the explosive device attack that killed four Armored Corps soldiers on September 8, 2025, according to the IDF. The soldiers were named Staff-Sergeant Uri Lamed, age 20, from Tel Mond, Sergeant Gadi Cotal, age 20, from Kibbutz Afikim, Sergeant Amit Arye Regev from Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut, and Lieutenant Matan Abramovitz, age 21, from Ganei Tikva.
"His elimination marks a significant milestone for the 162nd Division in holding accountable those responsible for the deaths of its soldiers," the military said in a statement. "The soldiers fell while serving under the division’s command during Operation Gideon’s Chariots, and the 215th Fire Brigade, which operates under the division, has now eliminated the terrorist responsible for their deaths."
