US Embassy Denies Bishop Oyedepo Visa

The senior pastor of Winners’ Chapel International, Bishop David Oyedepo was denied a US visa, which caused a mild drama at the United States Embassy in Lagos. According to reports, the embassy did not give any other reason except the standard default explanation that the Bishop did not qualify for visa renewal in its assessment and urged him to try again. Heaven was, however, let loose, when the obviously upset Bishop, created a scene whilst questioning the grounds for his refusal. An insider said he told the embassy he had been travelling to the states as far back as the 1980s and had not violated any rules or committed any crime to have warranted being denied a renewal of his visa. According to the source, he immediately sent for his bodyguards to get his phones so he could make some calls, but the embassy allegedly told him he could not make calls within the precincts of the visa-issuing section of the embassy. Bandits kidnap Zamfara district head, son

Bandits have kidnapped the District Head of Gayari District of Gummi Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed and his son. An indigene of the town, Malam Abubakar Sani told our reporter that, the bandits arrived Gayari town Thursday night and went to the district head's house where they kidnapped him and his son. According to him, the Ak-47 wielding bandits fired gunshots into the air to scare away neighbours who came out to rescue the traditional ruler. Abubakar further explained that the kidnappers had earlier kidnapped the district head and his two children, but on their way, one of the children fell off from the motorcycle and ran back home. The police spokesperson, SP Mohammed Shehu, who spoke to our reporter on phone, said the Command was yet to receive the report from the police in the area.

US Govt Discovers El Chapo’s Drug-Smuggling Tunnel With Underground Rail

A drug-smuggling tunnel equipped with its own railway and lift has been discovered at the US border with Mexico. The 4,300ft passage which is believed to have been built by El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel is said to be the longest known illicit underground route into the United States. The drug-smuggling tunnel which is on average 70ft below ground and almost 6ft high and 2ft wide was reportedly built with a ventilation system, high-voltage power cables, and drainage. According to the Mirror, the tunnel starts in an industrial area of the border city of Tijuana in Mexico, ending in a neighbourhood of San Diego, California. where its entrance was found covered by several sandbags. It was discovered by authorities in August but has only now been revealed. Nigeria Army Came to Kill me and my Family, Nnamdi Kanu reveals

The de facto leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu is currently giving a live broadcast in which he has alleged that the Nigeria army led a coordinated assault on his home to murder him and his family.
Nnamdi Kanu is his current life broadcast said that the Nigerian army invaded his home to kill him and his family, saying men elements of the army killed one of his cousins alongside his dog ‘jack’.
He also accused the Governor of Abia state Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of coordinating the attack on his home which involved 28 soldiers, saying the attack was also enabled due to the infighting within IPOB.
As he progressed in the broadcast, he also assured the immediate past governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose of the support of IPOB as he stands trial with the ECC.
Nnamdi Kanu also went further to thank the ex-Niger Delta Militant Leader, Asari Dokubo who he described as a brother.

‘If You Don’t Want Us, Then Let Us Go’ — Onyeka Onwenu Tells Nigerian Govt

Veteran Nigerian singer cum politician, Onyeka Onwenu, has asked the Nigerian government to “let Igbos go” if they’re no longer wanted in Nigeria. The human rights activist made this statement at a conference tagged:“Never Again Conference: Nigerian Civil War 50 Years After”in commemoration with the Biafra War 50th Anniversary. Onwenu stated that Nigeria cannot continue to inflict pains on Igbos and expect them to take the pains, adding that the Igbos are children of God and are in Nigeria for a purpose. China Building 1,000-Bed Hospital In 10 Days

The government of China is rapidly building a 1,000-bed hospital in Wuhan as part of its efforts to contain and treat patients suspected of contracting coronavirus. Named Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital, the 25,000-square-metre facility is being built in the Caidian District in the west of the city of Wuhan to treat coronavirus patients. At the time of writing the virus had infected almost 3,000 people in China and killed 81 people. The virus has spread across the region, with cases reported in Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Japan and South Korea. Cases have also been reported in the United States and France. At present there have been no deaths outside China.
