Trump offers $1M reward for voter fraud tips

President Donald Trump announced a $1 million reward for individuals who provide information regarding voter fraud that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of perpetrators.

In a post published on Truth Social, the president specified that the proposed financial payout applies to allegations involving both previous elections and the upcoming midterm elections.

However, the brief announcement did not provide operational details regarding how the financial incentive would be funded, administered, or verified by federal authorities.

“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!” Trump said.

While the post labeled the reward as a measure to ensure election integrity, legal experts argue that establishing criminal voter fraud requires meeting high legal standards of intent and proof in court before an arrest and subsequent conviction can occur.

This follows the announcement of the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program (WHIP) last week, which offered payments of $10,000 to $30,000 for tips that lead to prosecution.

The program comes with a new website, america.gov/fraud, where Americans can “report cases of corruption and theft of taxpayer dollars in their communities,” Trump announced in the Oval Office on October 20th.

Combating fraud has been a key priority for the current administration, both in the financial sector and when it comes to election integrity.
