MAN CITY WIN LEAGUE CUP

Manchester City’s Belgian defender Vincent Kompany (3L) lifts the trophy as Manchester City players celebrate their victory in the English League Cup final football match between Manchester City and Chelsea at Wembley stadium in north London on February 24, 2019. Glyn KIRK / AFP Manchester City retained the League Cup by edging Chelsea 4-3 on penalties on Sunday after an incredible bust-up between Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.  The Italian tried to replace the world’s most expensive player towards the end of a cagey 120 minutes that ended 0-0. Kepa had received treatment for an injury in the final stages, but also has an inferior record of saving spot-kicks than Willy Caballero, who Sarri attempted to introduce. City goalkeeper Ederson denied Jorginho and David Luiz hit the post in the shootout before Raheem Sterling smashed the winning penalty past Kepa. Until that flashpoint, the afternoon had been a success for Sarri just two weeks on

The former President said,   “In any competition, there will always be winners and losers. That is what anybody in any competition must be prepared for as a good sportsman. Whoever that wins should show magnanimity. If I lose, I will also bow down graciously. That is what any competition is all about. “If your purpose of going for any competition is that you must win at all costs, then that is no longer a competition. I know INEC will make amends for the shortcomings ahead of the next elections.” Obasanjo arrived at Ward 11, Unit 22, Olusomi Compound, Totoro Road, Sokori, Abeokuta North Local Government Area, in a black Lexus Jeep marked AAD 24 TF (Ogun), at 11:10am and cast his votes at 11:15am. On twitter minutes ago, Reno Omokiri has commended Saraki for loosing his senatorial seat with his head held high. “Yes, Bukola Saraki lost his Senate seat, but I respect him. He went down with his head held high. There is no basis to compare him to Godswill Akpabio, a man who went to bow down to Buhari for power. What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has lost his bid for reelection into the Senate from Kwara Central on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). BUHARI ADMITS HE COULD BE UNSEATED

Image
The reality of who wins and who loses is always predetermined through the noise of election.  This may be true should one say that M. Buhari, who formally intoned that no one can unseat him, has finally observed suggestively that he may be unseated. The statement on his official twitter page suggests this. While he inspects the his farm in Daura, he says, “I was pleased to spend time on my farm in Daura, this morning. Agriculture will continue to be one of the priorities of our administration. I‘m proud of what we have achieved in domestic fertilizer production; financing for farmers, and support and incentives for Agric investors”.
