( Amir Levy/Getty Images) Vladimir Putin doesn’t see President Joe Biden as “credible” as the United States grapples with a threatened invasion by Russia into Ukraine, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo charged Sunday. In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Pompeo warns the Biden administration is “downplaying the risk” Russian troops pose as they amass outside Ukraine. “I   think they don't see President Biden as credible,” Pompeo said of Putin’s government. “I think they see all this talking, these pieces of paper being exchanged just not credible.” Pompeo lamented the Biden administration’s handling of the escalating crisis. “They don't do the right thing, they don't protect the American people, establish deterrence and prevent, reduce the risk that President Biden called a 'minor incursion.'” He said the assessment was reminiscent “o

UK: Kremlin Trying to Install Pro-Russian Leader in Ukraine

Kremlin (AP) Britain on Saturday accused the Kremlin of seeking to install a pro-Russian leader in Ukraine, and said Russian intelligence officers had been in contact with a number of former Ukrainian politicians as part of plans for an invasion. The British foreign ministry declined to provide evidence to back its accusations, which came at a time of high tensions between Russia and the West over Russia's massing of troops near its border with Ukraine. Moscow has insisted it has no plans to invade. The British ministry said it had information the Russian government was considering former Ukrainian lawmaker Yevhen Murayev as a potential candidate to head a pro-Russian leadership. "We will not tolerate Kremlin plot to install pro-Russian leadership in Ukraine," British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Twitter. "The Kremlin knows a military incursion would be a massive strategic mistake & the UK and our partners would impose a severe cost on Russia." The Br

The immediate past Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye has absolved the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, of any involvement in the murder of two chieftains of the party in the State. DAILY POST had reported that two chieftains of the APC in Enugu South Local Government Area were murdered by unknown gunmen during a reconciliation meeting at Obeagu. Some members of the party blamed the incident on suspected members of the IPOB who were enforcing the Tuesday sit-at-home ordered by the pro-Biafra group. Those murdered include the Assistant State Youth Leader, Comrade Kelvin Ezeoha, and another chieftain of the party, Chidera Ogaba. The gunmen abducted Mr. Mike Ogbonna, who is the party’s factional local government chairman. How Omicron Highlights Fading Hope of Herd Immunity From COVID

Robyn Beck/Getty Images The omicron variant, which is spreading far faster than previous versions of the coronavirus, is not likely to help countries achieve so-called herd immunity against COVID-19, in which enough people become immune to the virus that it can no longer spread, leading disease experts say. Ron DeSantis and former President Donald Trump, but the former president considers it a push of politics of division. "It's totally fake news," Trump told Fox News' "Hannity" on Thursday night, refuting any talk of a rift between the top 2024 GOP presidential contenders. "I think Ron said last week, he said it very publicly, 'The press is never going to get in the middle of my friendship with Donald Trump. We're not going to do that stuff.' "And he said it very strongly. I thought that was very interesting, actually, and very nice. But he said that, and I agree with him 100%. I have a very good relationship with Ron and intend to have it for a long time." Trump noted DeSantis was a House member when he first entered the Oval Office, and helped push him to the governor's ma
