What Are The Nigerian Elites Afraid Of? By Osifeso Emiola Fedora

Image
From the time of the French Revolution to the Arab spring until the recent EndSARS revolt, elites globally have had something in common, a sense of fear of what aggrieved masses can do.   Amongst the people of a country, some are usually in charge of the transactions carried out on behalf of the entity, such as negotiating trade, declaring war, and determining which other country to relate with. These people and their networks are regarded as elites.   From Iron-fisted uniform rule to ‘auto-democratic’ rule, almost since the exit of the colonialists, Nigerian masses have had to deal with a successive sets of tough-skinned elite classes who have zero or no pity for them. However, there seemed to have been a balance of force, looking at the series of revolts the country has witnessed over time.   Moreover, how the Nigerian elite class at various times when Nigerian masses revolt or even attempt, have reacted, discloses their insecurity. The End Of Democracy By Kenin M. Spivak

Photo realistic rendition of a tattered, torn American flag. Joe Biden desperately wants to be a transformational president; an historic icon, just like Franklin Roosevelt. In the 1930’s, when the Supreme Court repeatedly ruled that key New deal programs were unconstitutional, FDR tried to pack the Court with additional justices who would do his bidding. Though his court packing effort failed, from then on, FDR had his way with the courts. Biden also has at least one other role model, Woodrow Wilson. By the early 1900’s, civil rights laws prohibited racial discrimination in contracting, and the federal civil service had been desegregated. Wilson undid this. He hired and promoted based on race, authorized, cabinet secretaries to segregate their facilities, and required them to collect data so they could be judged by the success of their racism. Democrats portray Republicans as racist and fascist. When he introduced Kevin McCarthy as the new Speaker of the House, Democrat leader Hakeem J
