  Video Federal investigators have executed a search warrant on former  New York City  mayor  Rudy Giuliani , seizing electronic devices, sources confirmed to Fox News. The raid on Giuliani, which was first reported by the  New York Times , comes as federal authorities were investigating whether he violated the law by lobbying the Trump administration on behalf of  Ukrainian  officials in 2019. Giuliani has served as former President Donald Trump's personal attorney on a number of high-profile matters. According to Giuliani's attorney Robert Costello, seven FBI agents arrived at the apartment at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, and remained for roughly two hours. The agents seized several electronic devices including laptops and cell phones. "This is totally unnecessary," Costello told Fox News, claiming that the raid was done to "make him look like he's some sort of criminal." Two  North Carolina  sheriff’s  deputies  have been shot after entering a Watauga County home to conduct a wellness check, according to local reports. The Boone Police Department tweeted that its officers were assisting the Watauga County Sheriff’s Offices during an ongoing standoff near the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon. Blowing Rock police were also on scene, as well as state police and SWAT operators. Authorities issued a shelter in place order for the community around Hardaman Circle, about 115 miles northwest of Charlotte. A lawyer for Giuliani, Bob Costello, confirmed that a search warrant had been executed. Electronic devices were among the items seized, according to  The New York Times . Giuliani, 76, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In addition to his Madison Avenue apartment, The Associated Press, citing an unnamed source,  reported that investigators also  executed a warrant at Giuliani’s office on Park Avenue.
