Police lights via AP. A Texas husband has been charged with the murder of his late wife. Harris County authorities said 41-year-old Christopher Collins is due for his first court appearance on Monday. Prosecutors argue Collins “went to great lengths” to make it look as if his wife, Yuanhua Liang, had been killed by a home intruder. However, investigators said there were no signs of a break in after his wife was found shot to death in their living room. Officers reportedly received a call from the male, later identified as Collins, claiming he had received a text from his wife indicating someone was outside their residence. The male caller then told 911 he had unsuccessfully tried to reach his wife and that she was not responding. Detectives said surveillance footage showed Collins going in and out of a locker room at a local gym, where he had initially called the police and where they later located his wife’s wallet, which Collins had reported missing. Some homeowners in Festac Phase 2 woke up to their houses being demolished on Sunday morning, Nov. 28.   This comes one day after an article announced that the Federal Housing Authority will soon begin mass demolition of buildings without approval in Festac Town.   Facebook user, Angel Nkiru took to her page to share photos of houses that have been brought down.   She wrote: "Got a bad news this morning.   "I am there and I'm crying because I have friends who have houses there.   "Festac phase 2 abulado estate under Amuwo odofin local government under demolition by the FHA.   "They started since 5 am.. See beautiful igbo people's houses.. FHA said the land is not approved. I am watching people's houses being destroyed and it's painful.   "Ego umu igbo agwugo..   New Jersey  police officer was arrested earlier this month after allegedly  hitting and killing  a nurse with his vehicle, then transporting the body away from the scene before ultimately returning it. Newark Officer Louis Santiago, 25, of Bloomfield, was off duty at the time of the incident, which occurred around 3 a.m. Nov. 1 near Exit 151 of the Garden State Parkway, the New York Post reported. The  deceased person  was identified as Damian Dymka, 29, of Garfield, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. Santiago was traveling northbound in a 2005 Honda Accord with passenger Albert Guzman, 25, when the incident occurred, the Post reported. Santiago had struck Dymka after drifting off the roadway and onto the shoulder, where Dymka was located.  Neither Santiago nor Guzman contacted 911 nor tried to assist the victim, the report said.
