Home Front Command tightens security guidelines in northern Israel as Hezbollah tensions increase

(photo credit: YANIV NADAV/FLASH90) Home Front Command updated its security guidelines for Israel's northern communities on Sunday, in light of the increasing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel. The new guidelines limit gatherings in communities along the Lebanese border to no more than 1,500 people. They come into effect at 22:30 on Sunday and end at 20:00 on Monday. All other security guidelines previously issued by  Home Front Command  remain unchanged. Ynet reported on Sunday that the Conflict Line Forum had decided that, independently of the Home Front Command guidelines, they would declare their communities to be at "orange" alert, and  shut down schools  and education centers beginning on Tuesday. Israel sent Iron Dome system, IDF team to UAE during recent Iran war

(photo credit: YONATAN SINDEL/FLASH90) Israel sent an  Iron Dome system  and dozens of IDF troops to the United Arab Emirates during the recent war with Iran, according to foreign sources. Multiple Israeli officials have stated that the decision to send the Iron Dome battery and interceptors was made after  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  spoke by phone with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed.  Dozens of Iranian missiles  fired towards the Gulf state were intercepted by the system, according to foreign sources. This is the first instance of the Iron Dome being used operationally outside the United States or Israel, though Singapore has reportedly purchased and received Iron Dome, and Romania is expected to do so as well. Medical supply shortages loom in Iran as civilians bear the cost of ongoing conflict, UN warns

Cristhian Cortez Cardoza, the International Federation of  Red Cross  and Red Crescent Societies’ deputy regional director for the Middle East and North Africa, said that the “intense conflict” will continue to be felt by Iranian society “for months and years to come.” The disrupted supply chain has also meant that the factory responsible for suppling 60% of the country’s dialysis filters only has enough raw materials to continue production for the next three months, with an unknown number of filters reportedly already destroyed in medical facilities hit by strikes.
