Nigeria has been trying too hard to frustrate the Igbo, says attorney

A Nigerian attorney, Aloy Ejimakor, believes that Nigeria’s Igbo-speaking tribe has been frustrated by the country since after the Biafra war that left more than 3.5 million people massacred and starved to death in the country’s eastern region.

“The truth is that NDIGBO have been trying TOO HARD to be Nigerians but Nigeria has been trying TOO HARD to frustrate the Igbo as a citizen,” he said on Twitter early Thursday

Ejimakor, who is the special adviser to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Nigerian separatist group – Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), also said that the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari, has declared the people of eastern part of the country as an enemy of the state.

He said, “and since 2015, once you decide you’ve tried enough & quit, they declare you an enemy of State & come after you without mercy.”
