The negotiations between the United States and Iran are "going well," US President Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday, adding that a finalized deal might happen sometime during the weekend.

"It might not happen," Trump told reporters at the White House, before adding, "it could happen over the weekend."

He described Iran as "volatile," stating that the US military was more than capable of wiping the country out within a few weeks.
