US Embassy in Jordan issues security alert warning of travel disruptions

The US Embassy in Amman, Jordan, warned that due to "heightened tensions in the Middle East," US citizens should be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions, the Embassy announced on X/Twitter Saturday.

The announcement included a warning to US citizens that Iran and its supportive groups may target US interests, including businesses and Americans throughout the world.

The alert noted that some airlines postponed scheduled flights while others canceled some routes.
