Trump Advised Iranian Diplomats to Seek Asylum

(photo credit: REUTERS/JONATHAN ERNST) US President Donald Trump urged Iranian diplomats to seek asylum during an address at the East Room of the White House as part of a ceremony hosting Inter Miami CF on Thursday night. The Inter Miami soccer players, including Lionel Messi, were standing behind Trump during the speech, during which the president also addressed ongoing issues concerning Cuba and Venezuela. Trump also spoke about Cuba and Venezuela at the ceremony in the White House East Room to commemorate Inter Miami CF winning the MLS Cup.

Hegseth hosted a Pentagon press conference on Wednesday alongside Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Caine, where he explained that the U.S.-Israeli campaign that carried out Operation Epic Fury also “hunted down and killed” the unit leader who attempted to kill the president. “Iran tried to kill President Trump and President Trump had the last laugh,” Hegseth stated.
