Missile shrapnel ignites fire, lightly injures 10-year-old in central Israel


A fire broke out in central Israel after shrapnel from an Iranian missile hit central Israel on Thursday night, following a launch that triggered sirens throughout the country

Firefighters work to put out a fire at a warehouse in central after it erupted in flames when hit by shrapnel from an Iranian missile (CREDIT: ISRAEL FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITY).

Eyewitness reports claimed that Iran used cluster munitions, although this was not confirmed by any official governmental or military source. 

Several firefighting crews responded to the fire and determined that it was a warehouse that had been hit by a missile fragment and immediately went up in flames.

Firefighters worked to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings and extinguish the source.
