The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a dismissed soldier, Lanhasorporal Khalid Mohammed, for armed robbery.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Ali Janga, made this known to journalists on Wednesday while parading the suspect and 78 others.
Janga said Mohammed was dismissed from the military for shooting at his then guard commander.
According to him, Mohammed was arrested after robbing an apartment on Upper Volta road, Malali, Kaduna recently.
The suspect, who disclosed that he started robbery operations in 2006, said he regretted his actions and begged for mercy.
Mohammed, according to Janga, will be charged to court soon alongside other persons arrested for various crimes in the state.
