No plan B, prepare for looming fight – Fani-Kayode charges Nigerians

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged Nigerians to be prepared for a major battle coming.

Fani-Kayode gave the advice in an article sent to DAILY POST titled, ‘No retreat, no surrender, no Plan B’.

The former presidential aide urged Nigerians to learn from Horatius, whom he described as the greatest of all Romans and be inspired and guided by his courage.

“We must be proud of who and what we are and we must be ready to stand for something, even at the cost of our lives”, he wrote.

The outspoken government critic noted that some prominent citizens concerned about Nigeria have counselled the people to have a plan B.

Adding that they have already seen the future of the country and raised an alarm. But FFK claims he is no plan B for him.

“We may evacuate our women and children but for those of us that are men, I say again there is and can be NO plan B.

“There is no running. There is no surrender. There is no capitulation. There is no escape. We have no other country. We have nowhere to go and even if we did we choose not to go.

“We are Nigerians! We are lions! We do not run from the battle. We do not buckle before the enemy. We are not cowards. We are warriors. We are fighters”, he stressed.

                  INTRODUCTION In the history of syntax, prepositions alongside other parts of speech are considered as one of the esteemed contributions of the sophists (the itinerant teachers) to the development of the human language. Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included. As a plural term, “syndesmoi” is a collective noun that stands for the group while, conjunction , the part of speech that binds together the discourse and finds gaps in its interpretation was called “syndesmos” (see Robins, 1968).
