“I say frankly to the American statesmen, who are now managing the genocide in Palestine, that we do not welcome [an] expansion of the war in the region. But if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire,” he told a meeting at the 193-member General Assembly.

Israel’s retaliation for the sudden terrorist attacks on October 7th that resulted in more than 1,400 deaths and the abduction of hundreds of hostages, including 33 American citizens, the Jewish State has now pledged to destroy Hamas, the organization that controls Gaza.

A 2021 poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research that was reported by AP News found that “53% of Palestinians believe Hamas is ‘most deserving of representing and leading the Palestinian people,’ while only 14% prefer Abbas’ secular Fatah party.”

Since the recent attacks, Israel has now launched airstrikes against Gaza, established a blockade, and is reportedly preparing to invade on land.

At the U.N. emergency special session, Amirabdollahian claimed that Hamas informed Iran that the group was [allegedly] preparing to free civilian captives and that the international community should “work to free the 6,000 Palestinians detained in Israeli jails.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to play its part in this very important humanitarian endeavor, along with Qatar and Turkey. Naturally, the release of the 6,000 Palestinian prisoners is another necessity and responsibility of the global community,” Amirabdollahian continued.
