reconsider large strikes on Iran - Saudi Prince told Teump
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman asked US President Donald Trump to reconsider potential large military strikes on Iran during a phone call on Saturday, Axios reported on Sunday.
The report cited two United States officials, one of whom told Axios that "the Saudis expressed concern and asked for clarity about the plan of action."
Axios further cited sources with knowledge of the call between the two world leaders, who said that MBS asked Trump to de-escalate the situation instead of launching large strikes.
According to the report, the Saudis are concerned that the strikes could result in an unprecedented regional escalation.
