US Embassy in Jordan issues security alert warning of travel disruptions

The US Embassy in Amman, Jordan, warned that due to "heightened tensions in the Middle East," US citizens should be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions, the Embassy announced on X/Twitter Saturday.  The announcement included a warning to US citizens that Iran and its supportive groups may target US interests, including businesses and Americans throughout the world.  The alert noted that some airlines postponed scheduled flights while others canceled some routes.

Israel, US weighing wave of strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure

According to the report, the wave of strikes could be among the harshest to date and may begin over the weekend, targeting power plants and refineries. One Israeli official denied the report, telling CBS that “Israel is unaware of a decision to restart full military operations, nor has it been requested to join any military actions against Iran." Israel, US consider land blockade against Iran to increase economic isolation - report

According to the report, Trump discussed the plan with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with several other "kinetic and non-kinetic" options, during their  meeting in Washington  on Tuesday.  land blockade would likely involve cooperation with Iran's neighbors, which include Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, and Azerbaijan

Hamas disarmament plan will ensure Oct. 7 'never happens again,' US officials say

"When we met with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his team, we said, ‘We need to obviously focus on getting the hostages released. We need to get the the bodies home, and we need to also make sure that this [the October 7 massacre] never happens again,'" a senior US official said, adding that the deal is intended to "really change the game in Gaza." A senior US official said Hamas initially had significant concerns about whether Israel would honor its commitments, leading to "very delicate negotiations" with the terror group.

Trump announces Hamas disarmament deal

"Today, the Board of Peace reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY,"  Trump wrote.
