COVID-19: Imo Lawmaker Asked To Leave Plenary After Coughing And Sneezing

A lawmaker in Imo state, Mr. Obinna Okwara, was asked to leave plenary after he began coughing and sneezing.
According to TheNation, the lawmaker representing Nkwerre State Constituency was asked to leave the plenary at Imo State House of Assembly after he began coughing and sneezing.
This is coming after the speaker of the house, Chiji Collins told the lawmaker representing Owerri North State Constituency, Mr. Philip Ejiogu to observe strict self-isolation following his recent return from the United Kingdom.
Some lawmakers who sat beside Okwara began moving away from him after he started sneezing and coughing during the plenary. He was then ordered out of the plenary by the speaker and never came back, the report added.
The Nation also reported that Mr. Philip Ejiogu who returned to the country from United Kingdom last week, was also seen hugging Amara Iwuanyanwu and Uche Ogbuagu who were elected the deputy speaker and majority leader of the house respectively. This was before he was asked to observe strict self-isolation as he might have been exposed to coronavirus while in the European country.
