"It was the road to a nuclear weapon for Iran. And Iran is the number one state sponsor of terror anywhere in the world," the president said on "Hannity." "And for we're talking about for the last 50 years, what they did, they've killed so many of our soldiers, so many people," he added before stating that they've "done this for years, and it was time for us to stop them." Trump also invoked slain Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani as he warned against allowing Tehran to get a nuclear weapon. "We cannot let Iran, an evil nation that killed many of our people. US launches 'defensive' strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island in Strait of Hormuz, official says

Image
Hormuz / maps4media via Getty Images The United States struck Iran’s Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, officials confirmed Monday. The strike was carried out in response to Iran firing at a U.S. aircraft this evening, the official said. The strike was “defensive” in response to Iran firing first and does not indicate a return to U.S. military strikes on Iran or the beginning of an escalation, the official confirmed. Qeshm Island is home to an underground missile site, a naval base and a major desalination plant. Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency ( IRNA ) reported earlier that five explosions were heard across Qeshm Island in succession. The news agency also cited residents who said they saw two aircraft flying overhead when the explosions occurred. Fox News' National Security Correspondent, Jennifer Griffin contributed to this report. Posted by Emma Bussey Share

The twin-engine Learjet 60 took off from Austin, Texas, bound for North Eleuthera in the Bahamas, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). LiveATC.net radio recordings show that minutes before crashing, the pilot reported ice buildup, an outside temperature of -47°C and moderate turbulence with altitude swings up to 700 feet. The aircraft then plunged from 35,250 feet to 8,750 feet in just over a minute — about 350 feet per second — before slamming nose-first into the ground, killing all nine people aboard and leaving a massive crater near a shopping center in Palm Beach. Readers of The Maritime Executive will be familiar with sophisticated mechanisms the IRGC uses to import the materials it needs to prosecute its warfare against neighboring states, Israel and the United States. These tools are what one would expect of an organization which conducts extensive drug smuggling operations as a means to circumvent sanctions and customs controls. It is an organization which has deep experience, and a nimbleness and flexibility to stay one step ahead as smuggling routes are closed down - always exploiting ...

Michigan Democrats divided amid antisemitism dispute

Image
Political strategist Colin Reed joins 'Fox & Friends First' to analyze how Abdul El-Sayed's anti-Israel comments are creating dividing lines among local Democrats as Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., throws her support behind his GOP opponent Mike Rogers. The rare move has shaken up a race where El-Sayed holds a small lead in the polls with just one day before Election Day. Stevens, who was considered the more moderate establishment candidate in her primary against El-Sayed earlier this year, said she remains "a very proud Democrat" who loves Michigan. She insisted, however, in the video message posted to social media over the weekend that she could not support El-Sayed, citing his backing from radical left-wing political streamer Hasan Piker. "Hey Michigan, as you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul said that I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away and he's right. And that's why I'm endorsing...
