Finland Court Declaration Shows Nigerian Fear of Biafrans

The Simon Ekpa-led Biafra Republic Government in Exile has claimed that the Finland Court and Nigeria are scared of Biafra.  said this was the reason for its leader, Simon Ekpa’s six-year jail term. DAILY POST recalls that the Päijät-Häme District Court in Finland, a court on Monday, September 1, 2025, handed Ekpa a six-year imprisonment jail term for terrorism-related offences. The sentence attracted reactions from the Nigerian government and Nigerians in the last 48 hours. BRGIE has vowed to appeal the sentence on Ekpa. The Acting Prime of BRGIE, Hon. Ogechukwu Nkere, disclosed this in an official statement on Thursday. Nkere described the Finland Court judgement as a ‘biased conclusion of judicial authority controlled by pressure from above’. Afghanistan Earthquake: Dead Toll Increased to 2,200

The latest quake follows two earlier tremors that hit the region on Sunday and Tuesday last week. The 6.2 earthquake struck southeastern Afghanistan on Thursday, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences, marking the third tremor in the region since Sunday. Naqibullah Rahimi, the spokesperson for the health department in Nangarhar province, announced that the quake’s epicenter was in the remote Shiwa district, near the Pakistan border.
