The Strait of Hormuz remains closed and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has not issued permission for any vessels to transit until further notice, Iran's  Fars News Agency  reported on Sunday, citing a military source. The United States and Iran had agreed to a 60-day ceasefire for peace deal negotiations, but Tehran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Saturday declared the Strait of Hormuz shut in response to Israeli strikes in Lebanon, though the US military said commercial vessels were still operating.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that he will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons as long as he remains in his position, while speaking at a memorial service marking the 50th anniversary of the death of his brother, Lt.-Col. Yoni Netanyahu, on Sunday. “Whatever the political developments, I will not allow Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons.
