COGAT calls on Gazans to abandon support for Hamas ahead of World Cup

On the eve of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, COGAT urged Gazans to abandon support for Hamas with a video saying, “Hamas is causing you to miss an opportunity for a different future at the 90th minute.”

Calling Hamas’s leadership a “failed, disconnected, and irrelevant group of inexperienced thugs,” COGAT highlighted the fact that while Gazans are trying to accomplish a “better future,” Hamas is “once again causing [Gazans] to miss an opportunity.”

The post was accompanied by an AI-generated video showing a soccer game between a team called “Different Future” and a team representing Hamas’s leaders. In the video, the Hamas team remains on the sidelines as a “Different Future” player races toward an open goal, only to be stopped at the last moment by a group of Hamas players.

Etymologically, the term “preposition” belonged to the group of word class Aristotle, the founder, referred to as “syndesmoi”. Others in this group are conjunction , article and pronoun . They were thus grouped by Aristotle because they were found to be performing related functions that are summed up in binding terms and exposing the gaps amidst sentences when they are not included.
