Report Reveals that Trump didn't Want to retaliation Iran's strike but was Convinced by Hegseth
US President Trump had not initially believed it was necessary to strike Iran in retaliation for the downing of a US helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz, but changed his mind after a meeting with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine, the Wall Street Journal cited a US official as saying.
Hegseth and Caine gave Trump updated information about the Iranian Shahed drone said to have struck the US helicopter, the WSJ wrote.
