#EndSARS: Lekki Protesters Defy Curfew

The #EndSARS protest staged at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State has condemned the attempts of the Lagos State government to impose curfew on the masses. The protesters therefore remarked that this attempt is not comely for a non-violent protest.

The Lagos State governor, S. Olu earlier this afternoon announced a compulsory curfew mandating Lagos protesters to disperse their assemblage at or before 4.pm to 12.am on dailies.

Accordng to the government spokesperson, Bandicts setting fire on a police state at Orile and other hoodlums activities blamed on #EndSARS protest have led to this announvemann.

Amidst all these attempts, the protesters have remained resolute, even at the face of Government imposed curfew. According to one of the respondents,

"It is unfair for the state government to impose curfew against the nation-wide protest. It is a sign to show that the government has no regard for the youth of this nation."

Speaking on their resolution to tarry, despite the curfew attempt, he remarked this,

"We asked the government to send us police men for protection against hoodlums attacking peaceful protesters, but nothing was done.

Therefore, we are not moving away from here. At 4pm, we will be here. By the way, curfew means no movement. So, we shall be here all day."
