(Photo via: Newport News Police Department) Abigail Zwerner, a Virginia teacher who was shot in the hand and chest by a 6-year-old student in 2023, testified this week in her $40 million negligence lawsuit against former Richneck Elementary assistant principal Ebony Parker. In January 2023, Abigail Zwerner, then 25, taught first grade at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia, when a 6-year-old male student  brandished a firearm  from his backpack. The student abruptly fired at the teacher, with the bullet passing through her hand and into her chest — where it remains to this day — due to the possible risks involved in removing it. Months later, Zwerner filed a $40 million lawsuit against the assistant principal, Parker, who has since resigne...

Coalition of Democrat-run states sue Trump admin over lapse in SNAP funding

Image
Dozens of Democrat-run states have sued the Trump administration for refusing to utilize the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program’s (SNAP) contingency funds to issue food benefits during the government shutdown. As funding for SNAP runs dry due to the government shutdown, the lawsuit argues that the Trump administration is mandated by law to utilize the roughly $5 billion in contingency funds to cover a portion of the $9.2 billion in SNAP benefits allocated for November. SNAP is a low-income food assistance program that assists roughly 42 million low-income Americans with purchasing groceries. “The contingency funding that we set aside for SNAP is not optional spending. It is required by the law,” stated Democrat Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.). “We appropriated that money for this purpose. The White House must spend it,” she continued. “And what they are doing right now, blocking these funds from going out, is illegal.” The Trump administration previously announced that it would not ...

Reasons Why Kanu Refuse to Defend himself

Image
It is pathetic to hold a person on trial in a subordinate court when, both supreme and Appeal court have unanimously discharged and acquitted him. Such a trial can only hold in Nigeria where the judiciary see things with deformed sight. Kenyan court has warned Nigeria to return Nnamdi Kanu to where he was kidnapped, stressing that he must not be tried in Nigerian court. Nigeria have faulted all these warnings, insisting on trying him because he is Igbo. The ongoing trial of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, took a new twist on Monday, as he made a volte-face on his earlier decision to call witnesses to defend the seven-count terrorism-related charge the Federal Government preferred against him. At the resumed proceedings on the case, Kanu, who elected to defend himself after he disengaged his team of lawyers, adduced reasons before the Federal High Court in Abuja, why he would not open his defence to the charge. Addressing the court from the doc...

Barr. Alloy Ejimakor Seriously Down in Kuje Prison

Image
It is clear now that Barr. Alloy Ejimakor was locked up in a stuffy room with congested air space by the Nigerian police in Kuje Prison.  This whole story sounds ridiculous, but it is true. He was arrested for demanding the freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu according to the order of the Supreme court and Appeal court. Barr. Maxwell Okpara gave report on his health condition. As I came out of the DSS where I visited MNK, I received several messages that Chief Aloy Ejimako collapsed at the Kuje Correctional Center, I quickly rushed to Kuje and demanded to see him.  The officers on duty accompanied me to the Prison Clinic where he was admitted and I was happy to see that he was recuperating. I prayed and encouraged him to be strong.  May I inform you that Chief Aloy, Sowore, Barr Okere Kingdom, Prince Emma Kanu and other Peaceful Protesters detainees were granted bail yesterday being Friday 24th October, 2025 and all of them met their bail conditions at about 12pm but the magistra...

Nnamdi Kanu Survived Another Assassination Attempt

Image
After the attempt to assassinate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya by the Assassins hired by the Nigerian government failed, Kanu has remained a thorn on the flesh of the federal government. Since the day Mazi Nnamdi Kanu dismissed his lawyers and declared himself a self defender in the terrorist charges against him by the Nigerian state, the whole sections of the Nigerian system has been restless about what he would possibly say in the court room. The apprehension became obvious when Kanu mentioned the people in the Nigerian untouched list as his witnesses. These witnesses have dirty hands and innocent blood on their hands.  Federal Government wouldn't want these people to appear in the court, especially Buratai, Malami, Hope Uzodima, Aisha Buhari and others that have represented the cabal.  To succeed in this plan, the Federal Government have only one option; to kill Nnamdi Kanu. Perhaps, they have hired the DSS to do this. Last Friday, the DSS collectively attacked Nnamdi Kanu in t...
