Iranian attacks on US intelligence posts and hardware during the course of the recent war caused billions of dollars of damage, NBC reported on Wednesday citing four people with knowledge of the matter.

Missile attacks and drone strikes on US assets in the Middle East has forced the US Congress to allocate funding towards repairs, the report cited two of the sources as saying.

Further, some of the sites and equipment targeted by Iran are shared with the US military, the sources said, adding that this war signifies an unprecedented threat to the CIA and other US intelligence agencies.
