New Israel: Eisenkot calls for Emergency Government

Yashar party leader Gadi Eisenkot warned that Israel is facing a state of emergency and called for the formation of an emergency government in a post on X/Twitter on Friday, outlining his plans and guiding principles should he receive the mandate to form a government.

“The current government threatens, at the most fundamental level, the very existence of Israeli democracy—no less than that,” Eisenkot said.

He also warned that Israel was already in the midst of a dangerous diplomatic tsunami.

Eisenkot called for a new government to be sworn in as quickly as possible, built around “Zionist parties of change and repair, and the joining of every party and every Knesset member who agree to my four foundational principles, immediately or gradually.”
