Iran indicts Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, anti-regime journalists for ‘inciting’ January protests

Iranian authorities have issued an indictment against  Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi  and several figures associated with the opposition broadcasters Manoto TV, which ceased operations a few weeks ago, and Iran International, accusing them of helping instigate the nationwide protests that swept the country on January 8 and 9 of this year. Tehran Prosecutor Ali Salehi announced on Saturday night that the indictment had been issued, saying the case would be referred to court for trial within the coming days. France and Oman coordinate efforts to de-mine Hormuz, Macron says

France and Oman are working together to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East and will cooperate with their partners on clearing mines from the Strait of Hormuz, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday. "We have decided to collaborate, in conjunction with our partners, on clearing mines from the Strait in order to secure maritime routes and guarantee free and unconditional passage through the Strait of Hormuz," Macron wrote on X after meeting with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al at the Elysee Palace.

Israel developing space lasers to attack above the Earth, Katz says

On Monday, Defense Minister  Israel Katz  told military reporters that Israel is developing space lasers to carry out attacks above the Earth. This expanded on a statement Katz made last Thursday, in which he committed Israel to becoming the  leading player with the capability to attack from space . “One of the central goals which the prime minister and I set is that we are recruiting the best minds,” said Katz. “As of today, no country has the ability to mount  attacks in space . Lebanese Amal Movement party rejects Israel-Lebanon framework

Lebanon's Amal Movement, a Shi'ite party headed by the parliament's Speaker, Nabih Berri, rejected the Israel-Lebanon framework reached last week, saying in a statement early Monday morning that the deal would not be ratified, according to a report by the independent news channel Iran International. "This agreement will not be ratified and will not be implemented in its current form," the statement reportedly read, adding that the framework doesn’t guarantee the rights of Lebanon. The Hezbollah-allied Amal Movement holds 15 out of 128 seats in Lebanon’s Parliament, and the Iran-aligned March 8 Alliance, of which both parties are members, has 51 seats in total.

Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi calls for international protests

Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi called for protests to take place outside US embassies across the world as part of a "Global Week of Action for a Free Iran," in a post on his official press office's X/Twitter early Monday morning.  The week of action is scheduled to coincide with the July 4 funeral of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei in Iran, as well as with Independence Day celebrations in the US. "Our message to the American people and the US government is clear: stand with the Iranian people. Do not deal with terrorists. Choose the people of Iran," the post read.

(photo credit: AYAL MARGOLIN/FLASH90) The tunnel contained hundreds of weapons and several shafts from which rockets would be launched towards Israel, according to Netanyahu and Katz's statement.  The IDF destroyed a 200-meter terror tunnel used by Hezbollah in Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday night.  The tunnel, located in the Majdal area of southern Lebanon, was over 25 meters deep. It contained hundreds of weapons and several shafts from which rockets would be launched towards Israel, according to Netanyahu and Katz's statement.

A crown was blown off an ancient column in a UNESCO-listed site in Lebanon's port city of Tyre. A pilgrimage site for Muslims and Christians alike was destroyed in another southern town. Israeli strikes hit the Mamluk-era market in the city of Nabatieh. Israel's nearly four-month operation targeting Hezbollah has damaged or destroyed revered heritage sites across southern Lebanon, Lebanese Culture Minister Ghassan Salame told  Reuters .
